Traditional Chinese Medicine: Herbs

Chinese Herbs is one element within a group of therapies including Acupuncture within Traditional Chinese Medicine and as such its diagnostic principles are consistent. It is one of the great herbal systems of the world, with a history of being used in China since the 3rd century BC and subsequently around the world. It uses a systematic approach and is very effective and thus has become very popular as an effective and safe treatment for several illnesses and conditions worldwide. When used in conjunction with Acupuncture, the whole healing process is speeded up significantly. It still forms a major part of healthcare provision in China and is provided in State Hospitals alongside western medicine.

Chinese Herbal Medicine has been continually developed in keeping with changing clinical conditions and has been supported by research into every aspect of its use.
